How to Connect Your Root Domain (Apex) and www Subdomain
This guide explains how to connect your domain (for example, abc.com) to our platform so that:
All traffic is secured with HTTPS
No certificates or advanced DNS knowledge are required

You will configure two DNS records:
Connects your website to our platform
Redirects root domain visitors to www.abc.com
Step 1 – Connect Your www Subdomain (Required)
This step connects your website to our SaaS platform.

🔹 The platform hostname will be shown in your dashboard.
Step 2 – Connect Your Root Domain (Recommended)
DNS standards do not allow root domains to use CNAME records. To support this safely, we use a redirect service.

🔹 The redirect IP address will be shown in your dashboard.
Allows visitors to access abc.com

Issue HTTPS certificates for your root domain

⏱ DNS Propagation
DNS changes may take some time to become active.
Typical time: 5–30 minutes
In rare cases: up to 24 hours
Your dashboard will automatically detect when the setup is complete.

Once DNS propagation is complete:
Visit: https://www.abc.com → Your website loads
Visit: https://abc.com → Redirects to https://www.abc.com

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t the root domain use a CNAME?
This is a technical limitation of the DNS standard. All major platforms use redirects to support root domains.
Will this affect SEO?
No. We use a 301 permanent redirect, which is SEO-safe and recommended by search engines.
Can I skip the root domain setup?
Yes. Your site will still work perfectly on www.abc.com . The root domain setup is optional but recommended.
Does this work with any DNS provider?
Yes. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Route53, Google Domains, and others are all supported.
